Wisconsin matches owners with $8.9 million in unclaimed property

Wisconsin residents have recently been reunited with nearly $9 million in unclaimed money or property, thanks to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue! By using tax records, the Department is able to locate individuals who have unclaimed assets currently in the possession of the state. If the value is less than $2,000, they will receive it in the form of a check, but for anything over that amount, they are sent a letter with instructions on how to make a claim.
