Louisiana's Unclaimed Property fund just got a new, big deposit: $78.5 million in unclaimed money has just been added to the ledger, and 100,000 new names have been added to the online database of individuals who have money waiting for them. Currently, approximately 1 in 6 Louisiana residents have unclaimed funds. A nice reminder that it's a good idea to check the state treasury website for your name every once in a while!
