State Treasurer Alerts Residents to New Unclaimed Property Scam

Massachusetts State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg recently issued a warning to residents that fraudulent documents regarding unclaimed property are being mailed out by scammers. While the fake documents try to emulate the real deal as much as possible, you will know that it is fake if the document asks the recipient to pay any sum of money. If you think the document might be a fake, you can also check online on the Treasury website.
